Agfa Avinci CX3200

Sublimation printer in 3,2bm width. Sublimation printing is only for printing polyester fabrics, which always go through a calendering press after printing. It is a process where the fabric is ignited at around 190°C and due to this, the ink evaporates deep into the textile fibres, making the printed fabric more colour stable.

Compared to Uv printing, sublimation printing is more colourful, the colours are more vivid and brighter, mostly in orange and red shades. The textile is coloured deep into the fibres, not just on the surface as from UV printing. The textile is smooth and supple on the surface like a conventional textile, it does not have the rubber coating of UV printing.

The Avinci CX3200 can print not only directly on textiles but also on transfer paper, which then transfers the colour to the textile in the calendering press. By printing on paper, we are able to print, for example, very elastic textile materials suitable for offloading onto lightweight portable tubular structures used for advertising purposes.
